Welcoming/Preparing to Meet with God | Special Music | Rev. Christine Dickerson |
Gracious God, how wondrous are your works. Your heavens are vast, and we are so small; yet your love for us is unending, and your hope for us as infinite as the skies. We strive for good, yet still we sin: we anger, we covet, we regret. Forgive us our failings, dear Lord. Lift us up, we pray, out of the shadows of our past, and into the light of your future. Gather us as your people, and lead us in right ways. We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen. |
||
Prelude | “My Peace” (As we return to our seats.) | Praise Band |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Christian Greeting, Announcements & Prayer Requests | “Gloria Patri” | Elder Allen Perrier |
God, source of all light, by your Word you give light to the soul. Pour out upon us the spirit of wisdom and understanding, that, through the Scriptures, our hearts and minds may be opened to know your will in our lives. Amen. |
