Welcoming/Preparing to Meet with God | “My Peace” (As we return to our seats.) | Elder Jim DeHart |
God our creator, you reign in the heavens and cast light upon the earth. The land provides food to harvest, and water flows from the mountains. Our blessings are many, and we are grateful. In our humanity, we sometimes lose sight of your many gifts. We see only the darkness, and seek to mold the world in our own image. We want more than we need, and we share less than we could. Show us right ways, O Lord, and set us on right paths. Turn our eyes toward you and our hearts to our neighbors. For yours is the Way of truth. We ask in Christ’s name. Amen. |
||
Life of the Church/Announcements | Majesty | Congregation |
Hear the good news! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ, and Christ died for us, Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Know that you are forgiven, and be at peace. Amen. |
||
Passing of the Peace | “This Is The Day” | Mike Johnson & the Praise Band |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | “Gloria Patri” | Hymn #590 (2X) |
God, source of all light, by your Word you give light to the soul. Pour out upon us the spirit of wisdom and understanding, that, through the Scriptures, our hearts and minds may be opened to know your will in our lives. Amen. |
