Welcoming | My Peace | Rev. Jon Berquist |
ONE: All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God; yet God is merciful as well as just, quick to hear and to forgive. Let us then boldly confess our sins before God: ALL: O God, we know that we should pray for the peace of every city, but we too often pray only for our own. Even then, we pray for only some of our neighbors. We need you to expand our hearts and our minds so that we can learn to love all of your people and your whole creation. Teach us never to be silent about your love, and to share your praises with all peoples. Instead of only those we favor. For these and every way we sin against you, we ask your forgiveness. |

Life of the Church | The King Is Coming | Kenton Clymer |
ONE: Christ lived for us. Christ died for us. Christ rose for us. Friends, hear and believe the good news of the gospel: in Jesus Christ we are forgiven. ALL: Hallellujah! Amen! |
||
Passing of the Peace | O For A Thousand Tongues | Congregation |
Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen. |
||
Prelude | Alas and Did My Savior Bleed | Praise Band |
O God, open our ears to your teaching, so that our mouths can learn to sing your praise, our feet can learn to follow your steps, and our hands can do your work in this world. |
